Shaft Sinking
Our Shaft Sinking Team has constructed over 50 shafts ranging from 20 metres to 100 metres deep. Our aim is to provide the latest drill and blast knowledge and techniques in shaft sinking, and to aid clients in the commencement and re-focusing of their operations, with tangible and cost-effective solutions.
Previous projects carried out include the development of an elevator shaft inside a heritage listed building, pipe jacking shafts, mine ventilation and shaft rehabilitation. Another particularly challenging project was the development of an internal ventilation shaft 110 metres deep and six metres in diameter, fully concrete lined and in extremely poor ground conditions.
Shaft Sinking services include:
-
Shaft and winze sinking
-
Shaft rehabilitation and other associated works
-
Ladderway installation
-

We also have the ability to source a full range of shaft sinking plant for the construction of precast segmental shafts ranging from 3.66m to 25m internal diameter.
