Perfect Shafts International was contracted by McConnell Dowell to sink a shaft 24 metres deep by six metres diameter in the heart of Brisbane.  

​

We supplied a full service with machinery and labour.  Due to services such as gas, electricity and fibre optic cables all within half a metre from the shaft wall, plus vibration limit restrictions, traditional explosives could not be used to break the hard Brisbane ‘tuff rock’.

​

We introduced our Cardox non explosives rock breaking product to complete the project. The shaft was completed successfully well within budget requirements and time frame.
